Join Our AFC Urgent Care Team as a Medical Assistant!
- Welcome patients, room them efficiently, and gather accurate medical histories and vital signs
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, testing, and treatments
- Perform CLIA‑waived lab tests, collect and prepare specimens, and maintain lab quality control
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under provider supervision
- Conduct EKGs, point‑of‑care testing, and other diagnostic support tasks
- Draw blood for labs as ordered
- Keep documentation complete, accurate, and timely
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
- Support smooth patient flow in a high‑volume environment
- Perform drug screens and provide patient education and follow‑up instructions
- Contribute as a collaborative, dependable member of the clinical team
- Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance standards
- Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical training
- Experience in urgent care, emergency, or other fast‑paced settings (preferred)
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and a compassionate, patient‑focused approach
- Positive, team‑oriented attitude
