- Obtain patient vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit; prepare patients for examination
- Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
- Ensure all ordered tests are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Administer medications and treatments according to approved protocols
- Perform venipuncture and prepare specimens for reference lab and/or in-house processing
- Conduct laboratory testing, quality controls, and equipment maintenance per written procedures
- Respond to lab messages and patient call-back requests
- Perform drug screening procedures in compliance with established regulations
- Administer and document immunizations according to approved protocols
- Coordinate physician referrals and obtain service pre-certifications as needed
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
