About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at American Family Care in Gadsden, AL, as a Certified Medical Assistant! This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our healthcare professionals while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and other diagnostic tests as needed.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by physicians.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Support front office functions, including scheduling and patient check-in.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Current CPR certification and knowledge of basic life support.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care and support.

Compensation: $17.50 - $20.50 per hour
