Job Summary
As an Accountant at AFC Urgent Care Santa Clara you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You’ll work closely with management to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial information while contributing to strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations
- Conduct internal audits to ensure financial controls are in place and followed
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management
- Provide support during year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
- Stay current with industry trends and updates to accounting laws and regulations
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- CPA certification (or working towards it) is a plus, but not required
