- Assess and treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma in collaboration with a physician.
- Collaborate with the physician in the care of patients with chronic illnesses.
- Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues.
- Educate patients and families about preventive care, medical conditions, and prescribed treatments or medications.
- Maintain accurate, legible, and confidential medical records.
- Document all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, and referrals.
- Serve as a Medical Examiner and perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations.
- Order diagnostic tests as appropriate.
- Prescribe medications within the scope of the license.
- Facilitate the evaluation of records by physicians and peers to ensure quality and implement constructive directives.
- Promote preventive and health maintenance care through education and counseling.
- Stay updated with current medical knowledge from conferences, workshops, and professional literature and incorporate it into clinical practice.
- Current licensure as a Certified Registered Autonomous Family Nurse Practitioner
- Experience providing care for patients of all age groups.
- Proficiency in performing minor procedures.
- Experience in an urgent care, emergency department (ED), or primary care setting.
