Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing claims, gathering necessary details and information, and determine appropriate next steps.
- Initiating referrals to appropriate medical providers, imaging centers, specialists, and physical therapists.
- Regularly tracking and monitoring the progress of claims and communicating with employers and insurance companies.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology, insurance policies, and injury types related to work-related injuries.
- Insurance knowledge.
- Ability to analyze situations, identify potential issues, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Familiarity with relevant software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
