Provide high quality care and diagnostic services to all AFC patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide patients with primary and urgent care medical care services within standards set by state and national governing boards.
· Order and analyze laboratory and radiology tests to diagnose condition(s) of patients and explain treatment options.
· Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat health issues.
· Refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
· Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
· Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) Physicals.
· Provide 24 hour secondary on-call consultation for patient on an equitable rotating basis as assigned by the Medical Director.
· Ensure all charts are accurate and locked within 7 days of patient visit.
· Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
· Board Certified/Board Eligible – Emergency Room, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine (w/ER or UC experience).
· Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.
· Professional appearance and attitude
· Active and current medical licensure in state of practice
· Active and current DEA number and state controlled substance certificate, as needed.
· Ability to multi-task and work independently

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
